Just found out about a cool content management service called Joomla.  I wanted to check it out, so I registered to create an account with them.  They mentioned that I had to use a valid email address to click a confirmation link from my inbox to activate my account.

So far no problem, until I clicked the activation link - this is the page I saw (click image to see a full-size version):

The message in red reads:

Your Account has been successfully activated.  You can now log in using the username and password you chose during registration.

But where do I login?

So, if you send someone to a page after confirming their registration, at least present a big Login button or a place on the page for them to enter their username and password.

Will Conversational Talk Search be the Next Thing?

Just got done reading this article about conversational talk search.  If it becomes the next biggest thing in search engine marketing, how will we deal with it and will you be ready?

Bad Opt-Out Form

Here's an example of a really bad opt-out form.  Why would anyone want to supply more information to be removed from a newsletter list, when in reality you don't want to give them anymore permission to market to you?
