When do you see resin cost stabilizing or decreasing?

Question: With resin cost on a constant increase, oil spills, and plants closing for repairs, short sales, and such, when do you see cost stabilizing or decreasing?

Bill Bowie, RTi: The answer depends on the type of resin you are interested in. Polyolefin resin prices have been dropping. Styrenic resins are under some downward price pressure at this time due to significant styrene monomer price decreases. Feedstocks such as butadiene and phenol are still tight, so resins that use these feedstocks are under some continued upward price pressures. However, in general, we do see some stability coming in these resins.
