DSM Engineering Plastics Increases Akulon Prices

Evansville, Ind. - May 28, 2009 - As a result of recent escalation in the cost of key raw materials, DSM Engineering Plastics will increase prices in North America for Akulon® polyamide 6 resins (unfilled grades, both medium and high viscosity) by $0.10/lb.

This increase will take effect as of June 15, 2009. While DSM Engineering Plastics continues to pursue and implement cost savings initiatives targeted at absorbing the impact of the raw material escalation, this additional increase is necessary to ensure DSM Engineering Plastics’ sustainable long-term growth in North America.
