The Math for Extruders training programs were designed to benefit any personnel associated with extrusion – as mathematics is used throughout the industry on a daily basis in many different capacities. It can be as simple as counting inventory and calculating part tolerances or as complex as calculating the raw material necessary to complete a production run. Math skills are also critical when extruders are performing advanced functions, such as determining the force applied to the thrust bearing based on the melt pressure in front of the die.
“These programs were specifically produced to meet the needs of personnel
that work every day in extrusion and are
committed to developing advanced processing skills,” states Andy Routsis,
President of A. Routsis Associates, Inc. “Production personnel at all levels can
benefit from these courses and can be easily accessed on the internet.”
