January 29, 2010 - Florham Park, NJ - BASF will increase prices of its Styrolux and Styroclear SBC resins by $0.07 per pound in North America, effective Feb. 15, 2010.
This measure is due to increasing raw materials costs. In addition, it is necessary so that BASF can continue to provide high quality products, reliable services and innovative solutions.
Styrolux is BASF’s trademark for a portfolio of clear styrene-butadiene copolymers used in injection molding and extrusion thermoplastic applications that offer outstanding clarity, exceptional toughness and low density. Styrolux is used for medical applications, food service products, such as thermoformed clear drinking cups and plates, shrink labels, film wrap, toys and household appliances. Styroclear is a line of injection-molding resins for premium-quality, clear garment hangers.
