BASF to Increase Prices for Polyamide 6 and Polyamide 6,66 Polymers in North America

December 15. 2010 - Florham Park, NJ - BASF will increase the price for Polyamide 6 and Polyamide 6,66 by $0.10 per pound effective Jan. 3, 2011.

This increase covers nylon polymer for spinning, monofilament, film, wire and cable applications, and neat resin for compounding.

Current market conditions and increasing raw material cost necessitate this adjustment.

Bayer MaterialScience Announces Price Increase for Thermoplastic Polyurethane Resins in Asia Pacific

November 22, 2010 - Bayer MaterialScience has announced a price increase of USD 0.35 per kilogram on TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) resins effective December 1, 2010.
 
According to Bayer, the increase will affect all TPU products in the Asia Pacific region, including Desmopan, Texin, U-Flex and Utechllan.
 
This price increment is essential to ensure future levels of investment, research & development as well as sustainability in Bayer MaterialScience's business growth and service commitment to customers.

BASF Announces Price Increase for Styropor® Expandable Polystyrene in North America

November 4, 2010 - Florham Park, NJ -  BASF today announced it is increasing prices for all grades of Styropor® expandable polystyrene (EPS) in North America by $0.05 per pound effective Nov. 15, 2010.  This increase is necessary due to raw material cost increases.

Bayer MaterialScience Raises Prices for Thermoplastic Polyurethanes

October 21, 2010 - Leverkusen, Germany - Bayer MaterialScience AG is raising the selling prices for the product groups Desmopan®, Texin®, Desmoderm® und Desmomelt® in the Europe, Middle East, Africa, Latin America (EMEA/LATAM) region by EUR 0.25/kg effective November 1, 2010.

Raw material, energy and logistics costs for these product groups have increased considerably. To ensure continued reliability of supply and an efficient service for its customers, and to further develop the product range to meet future requirements, Bayer MaterialScience is compelled to pass on a proportion of these increased costs in the form of price rises.

Current contractual agreements will be fulfilled.

Altuglas International Increases Prices for its Acrylic Resins

September 22, 2010 - Altuglas International today announced an increase of 250 Euros per metric ton for PMMA resins marketed under the Altuglas® trademark in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This price increase will be applicable to all deliveries for the month of October.

The price revision is the result of both the marked increase in cost of raw materials, in particular that of
MMA monomer, and the high level of demand in the market.

Altuglas® resins are aimed at the automotive, construction, medical and consumer goods industries.

Altuglas International: Price Increase for Acrylic Sheets and Blocks

September 3, 2010 - Due to raw material price hike, Altuglas International has decided to implement a price increase of 200 €/ton on its Altuglas® and Oroglas® sheets and blocks product range.

This pricing revision will be effective October 4th 2010, for deliveries in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

BASF Increases Prices for Polyurethane Products in Europe

September 3, 2010 - With immediate effect, or as contract terms allow, BASF will be increasing its prices for MDI and polyols and polyurethane systems in Europe on average by 200 Euro per metric ton.
