Prospector's Quick Connect

On March 9th we asked for suggestions in naming our new Prospector Widget.

We're pleased to announce that the new tool is now called Quick Connect - available from each search results table in Prospector that 'quickly' -- 'connects' you to additional information about each specific plastic material, including:

• Export datasheets and search results tables to excel
• Literature links to processing and design documents
• Integrated marketplace listings
• Improved material comparison
• New search results filtering options
• Datasheet navigation

The new version of Prospector will launch soon and you can find additional resources including a short demonstrational video here.

Help IDES Name a New Widget for Prospector

As you may know, our engineers have been feverishly working on an updated version of the Prospector plastics search engine. You can see spyshots from an anonymous source here.

In the results table, a new widget appears when you hover your mouse over links to material datasheets (click the image to the left to view in more detail).

Within this hover box, there is a summary product description and links to each material's datasheet, information on where to buy, how to find alternative plastics, a way to email the datasheet, automotive approvals, curve data, and links to literature and processing information.

We need your help to name this new Prospector widget. Below you'll find some ideas our team jotted down on a whiteboard the other day.

New Prospector Spy Photos!

A rumor has surfaced speculating that IDES will soon be releasing an updated version of the Prospector search engine for plastic materials information.

Apparently engineers at IDES have developed several new enhancements to Prospector. Many of the updates appear to address several suggestions from Prospector users during the past two years.

Anonymous sources have posted spy photos of what looks to be a new datasheet and search results table.
