Melt Mass Flow Rate vs Melt Volume Flow Rate

Q: MFR and MVR are tested by the same standards, ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133, are they considered the same property in the Prospector Property Search?  If you search on one will it automatically return results for both?

A:  No.  MFR (g/10min) and MVR (cm³/10min) are reported with different units, therefore not relateable in the Property Search.  If you searched on MFR you would then need to also search on MVR to see the 2,888 materials that have both properties listed.  

  

You may search on both ASTM and ISO standards simultaneously with the combined standards folder.  For example you can search MFR and your results will include materials tested by ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133.

Wicked Fast Search Results!

Have you noticed an increase in your productivity lately? If so, it might be a direct correlation to the fact that you no longer have to wait for search results to load in Prospector and watch an hourglass spin.

That's because we implemented some new 'behind-the-scenes' functionality to speed up the search results table.

The ‘average’ time for search results to load would take 3-5 seconds. Now, they appear in a mere 0.75 seconds. 

Also, loading a search for all plastic materials in Prospector previously took 10 seconds, but now loads in less than 1 second.
